Dear friends and sponsors of YCM!

The month of May was exciting and full of projects! Yes.. it was a very.busy month.. but we had lots of fun doing all of them.
To begin May, YCM competed in an AFL footy game at Cibubur. Most of our boys participated in this Aussie game and they were very excited. YCM boys are very keen to play sports as they have regular footy practice and they are good at it. We won the first match but we lost the second; nevertheless we still have one more chance to win the whole competition and go to Bali, so the fight is not over yet!
On May 8, after 2 month of struggling we are happy to announce that we had YCM Futsal final match. Since last March our 2 beloved tutors Apry and Ono had organized an amazing futsal competition. The project was a big success even though we didn’t win the competition. In this event we learned lessons about organizing an event, a good lesson for all of us.
This month also was the first month for James in our team and his first assignment was making a short movie about YCM to compete in a German film festival. The pressure was on but they did great! A couple weeks after his arrival to Bogor, James’ wife Kristy finally joined him and we had the opportunity to meet her and their cute baby Grace.
We also had the honor to have Pak A. Basith, as guest speaker from IPB talking about motivation and entrepreneur steps. He gave interesting and good lessons for us.
On May 15, YCM was chosen as the host for Art Day with Die Brucke. Last year we won the competition but unfortunately this year we finished as runner up but have no worries because we still have next year to catch up!!
It was also the start of Jascha to travel around Indonesia for few weeks. Miss Jen also left to learn bahasa Indonesia in Jogyakarta for a week. Miss you already guys.
On Sun 23rd a group of students went to Jakarta with ISB and did face painting and networking.
We have a new program this month. Once every 2 weeks tutors take turn to become an aerobics class instructor. So far so good; healthy lifestyle starts from now on at YCM.
It was a special day on May 27; Jen and Kohar’s birthday!!! Congratulations both of you, we wish you all the best this year. Great surprise party for them and especially for Kohar, he got special treatment from the students. WE LOVE YOU BU AND PAK!!!
To close this month on May 29 YCM Student Council organized a Bazaar for sewing class products. All this time Ibu Lilis and the class had been so busy preparing this event and it was a good paid off. The bazaar was one successful event this month., Congratulations SC and sewing class!
